Stop Ransomware began in Romania with the country's first dedicated 24/7 ransomware response service — a free helpline, +40 310 051 104 — for companies in the middle of an attack. We took the calls no one else would: encrypted servers, halted production lines, owners deciding at 3 a.m. whether to pay criminals.

Helping companies through their worst day taught us something simple: almost every attack we responded to was preventable. The same gaps, the same missed warnings, the same untested backups — again and again.

So we built the company we wished our callers had hired a year earlier. The helpline still runs, free, every day. But our real work is making sure you never need it.

Much of the security industry sells detection: tools that tell you an attacker is already inside. We think that sets the bar too low. Detection alone means attackers are already within arm's reach of your data — and your defense is a race you start from behind.

Prevention keeps them out. Blocking attacks before they execute, closing doors before they're tried, testing recovery before it's needed. It's less dramatic than incident response. That's the point.
